My garden roses long ago Gone with the flower-time of my life, So might I yesterday have sung; Bless the young bands that culled the gift, Of old my Quaker ancestors And with them, to my fancy's eye, They bring the atmosphere of youth; O buds of girlhood, yet unblown, 1883.
