Title: People Going By Author: Elizabeth Madox Roberts [More Titles by Roberts] Before they come I hear their talk Some go fast and some go slow, In mornings they are going down Or Mrs. Warner hurries past; She walks by quick and will not stop, I think she goes there every day And one of them is Mr. Jim-- And one is lame; that's Uncle Mells; Or maybe night is almost come, And by her side walks Mr. Paul; Or Murry's child comes up this way That lives in Wells's other house, And some go fast and some go slow, I can feel them almost speak to me, [The end] GO TO TOP OF SCREEN |
