The shadow of death is around us all, He is dead--and the strong, brave life that he gave And why should we sorrow--the crown is his The beautiful South is a land of death, The sunlight falls with a dreary gleam Yet high in the heavens a Hand is stretched, The North bends down in her icy pride The hand that was dyed in a brother's blood Then why should we sorrow--our God is love, [The end] GO TO TOP OF SCREEN |
