Title: Living Remembrance Author: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe [More Titles by Goethe] HALF vex'd, half pleased, thy love will feel, Such self-deceit may pardon'd be; But still they're not enough for me. She who is dearest to my heart, No charm in aught beside I trace; That wantons o'er her beauteous face. If, loved one, we must sever'd be, To look at, and to kiss in play.-- And now we both are far away. Her charms with equal joy we press'd, Upon her heaving bosom fell. Remain my joy and bliss to tell! 1767-9. -THE END- GO TO TOP OF SCREEN |
